Gel brush sets - always have the right brush handy

At Nails & Beauty Factory we are often asked by up-and-coming nail design talents which gel brushes they need to start their career, and how the various brushes should be used. This is why we decided to make a variety of gel brush sets available, which are designed to meet the needs of beginner nail designers. Most of the gel brush sets contain the brushes necessary for base modelling as well as decorative nail art painting. At the start of the nail modelling, the building gel or base gel should be applied with a wide and straight flat brush. The most popular size is a wide gel brush in size four. With this size you can generally evenly work in the fingernails in two strokes. A straight gel brush is also perfect for usage with one-stroke technique. This technique lets you apply two different colour gels to the nail at the same time on one brush. Put a little colour gel on a lint-free cellulose pad and dip the left half of the flat brush in it. Then repeat this step with a different colour on the other side of the brush. This technique lets you easily and elegantly create beautiful two-colour motifs, such as flowers or butterflies, on the fingernails. Special nail art brushes offer especially creative nail art decorations. The gel brushes are recognisable in the gel brush sets thanks to their long hair-ends. The longer and more fine a brush tip, the more challenging but also more delicate the nail art can be. If you would like to decorate your nail modelling with decorative nail art, such as rhinestones or glitter powder, then the brush handles are perfect for this. The brush handles have a rubber tip, which makes them much easier to handle. You can decorate your fingernails with fine glitter powder by dipping the brush handle in a sealing gel first, then picking up a little glitter powder and spreading the mixture in a curved line on the nail. With the right combination of nail art, gel and brush handle, this lets your nails become a small artwork in no time.

Preparation of a gel brush before the first use

If you have purchased a new gel brush set, then you need to prepare the gel brush before using it for the first time. Take the selected gel brush out of the packaging and remove the protective cover over the brush tip (if there is one). Press the nail brush gently on a paper towel or lint-free cellulose pad, so that the brush bends slightly and the individual hairs spread. Then take the gel brush between your thumb and index finger and roll or rub it carefully, so that the brush hairs are released from their given shape. Drop a little gel on the cellulose pad and gently pull the gel brush in one direction through the gel. Make sure that the nail brush goes back to its original shape. Finally, clean it thoroughly with nail cleaner or a special cleaner. Thorough cleaning ensures that you can use the new set for a long time, without the brush tip sticking together and becoming unusable. We are always available if you have any questions about nail design.
